September Guest Designer Eila Sandberg

Our guest designer for September is Eila Sandberg from Sweden.

Hi ya! My name is Eila Sandberg, and for those who wonder how on earth to pronounce my first name - it rhymes with "Leyla". I'm thrilled to bits to be Papirdesign’s GDT for September, thanks ever so much for having me!

I started scrapbooking about 4 years ago when I bought a very glitzy magazine with photos of divine Christmas cards and got an urge to make some of my own. It goes without saying they all ended up in the bin that year.
Today scrapbooking is a creative outlet for me, not to preserve family photos. That's why you will often see that I don’t always follow convention with my photos.
They can be of a horse, a loaf of bread,  even of shoes.
My creative process is kind of backwards. I start with the flowers that I want to use, not the photo. Flowers are omnipresent in any projects that I create, and I have a crush on patterned papers. Just loooove papers!
You will soon discover that I am not a clean and crisp scrapper,
I pile on stuff on my pages!

So here goes, hope you like what you see! T with you.

Here is my layout called "August". Love using b&w photos on my pages. This one really gives that feel of a wet morning with the first of autumn feel in the air.

Isn't that deep plum/rich burgundy paper the ymmiest for an autumnal page!
The reverse of it is the sweet floral one inside the chippie frame.

Its pink flowers look like they are embroidered and that's exactly
what the paper is called -  "Embroidery" -
such a sweet name and paper.

There is a Papirdesign paper with little die-cuts of monthly
calendars but I haven't been able to
find its name.
Popped in one for August in the top cluster.

Absolutely adore that gray & white damask paper, luscious!
It's called "thoughts of the future" or in Norwegian
 "tanker om fremtiden".
Paired with the delightful floral "embroidery" paper
this combo just sings to me.

Here you also see a delish pale lilac pearl swirl
tucked into the bottom cluster.

Layering chipboard and fussy cutting is such a good
way of adding dimension to any page.

Papirdesign have THE most adorable roses in every colour of the rainbow.
Here they are in the softest of blush pink.
The sticker alphas come in a multitude of colours, SO conveniently
matched with the papers!
And there you are, my first page for PD.
